Air Quality Monitoring Pilot for Senior's Residences

Website

The Air Quality Monitoring Pilot for Senior's Residences, led by Alberta Capital Airshed, will monitor indoor and outdoor air quality at senior's centres in Metro Edmonton.

By installing real-time sensors and delivering education on pollutants and the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI), the project empowers staff and residents to take informed action on poor air quality days. Public education materials such as workshops, brochures and infographics will help raise awareness about the health impacts of air pollution. The project also engages real estate professionals through dedicated sessions exploring how air quality affects housing, health, and community well-being—supporting healthier, more informed communities throughout the region.
