Enhancing Collaboration: Bridging Settlement Agencies and Private Property Owners for Improved Housing Solutions

This project will strengthen collaboration between settlement agencies and private property owners to prevent evictions and improve housing access for vulnerable Albertans.

Led by IslamicFamily, the initiative will develop a partnership framework, host roundtables, and introduce a tenant assurance system that helps landlords confidently rent to newcomers and low-income families. Inspired by successful models in other provinces, the project will bring together service providers and housing professionals to co-create solutions that are equitable, culturally informed, and scalable across Alberta.
