Living Lawns: Creating Pollinator-Friendly Spaces Without Compromising Curb Appeal
This project promotes sustainable landscaping by helping homeowners and real estate professionals convert traditional lawns into low-maintenance, pollinator-friendly habitats. Through an educational package and interactive web app, users will learn about the importance of native bees, receive tailored guidance for habitat creation, and explore real-world success stories. The tool will be promoted through real estate associations, community leagues, and the Alberta Native Bee Council’s networks to support biodiversity and curb appeal in Alberta communities.
